Peoples of the Susquehanna River

In the 1600s, European settlers were drawn to the Susquehanna’s fertile river valley and abundant resources. They brought both their hopes and their conflicts with them. But others called this region home long before their arrival. Who were they, and what have they left behind?

Peoples of the Susquehanna, an original documentary film produced by Bucknell University and WVIA Public Media, will premiere Thursday, Nov. 16 2017 at 8 p.m. on WVIA-TV. The one-hour program examines the history, cultures and traditions of the Native Americans of the Susquehanna River watershed.

You can see a trailer of the film here.
